Fertile Grounds: Green flags on places that boost your growth

Fertile Grounds: Green flags on places that boost your growth

Hello everyone! Today I want to shed light on the importance of finding fertile grounds that allow us to grow and flourish. We often forget that we are like seeds, everything that happens on the outside affects (and depends on) our interior and, therefore, determines our evolution as people and professionals.

So that we can see what constitutes a fertile ground, and start looking for it, I will share my experience in YogaHome London, as an example of a place where I feel I have grown and developed my potential.

1. Beginners mind ✨ :

My YogaHome journey began at Minihome, a lovely space where I taught yoga to younger children.
A first-hand fertile ground, as I like to call those places that empower your talent and well-being, trust you before you even trust yourself and give you the chance to create and experiment.
Thanks to this first experience full of laughter, spontaneity, and a pure love for movement, I internalized a teaching method that I still put into practice to this day, ‘Always enter the mat with the innocence of a beginner and you will become a master’.

2. Continuous learning: 🚀:

As my passion for yoga grew, I decided to deepen my knowledge and practice by becoming an Iyengar Certified teacher. Not only did this rigorous training hone my asana skills, but it also gave me a deeper understanding of the philosophy and precision that defines Iyengar Yoga. At YogaHome, I found the support and environment necessary to apply this knowledge and continue to grow, which allowed me to move to the next level as a teacher. Is your workplace a fertile ground to nurture your knowledge?

3. Next challenge 💪:

After receiving my Certification, I was ready to guide the practice of adult beginners. YogaHome gave me a space to put my new knowledge into practice and the freedom to pass on and discover the essence of who I am today as a certified Iyengar yoga teacher.
Keep in mind that fertile grounds see your potential and are willing to grow with you by rewarding you with new challenges.

4. All the resources available to grow 🪷:

My first intensive workshop of the year has finally arrived! It will be very special because I have the full support, resources and advice of YogaHome’s most experienced staff and colleagues.

After 10 years and over 50 retreats, I can now be the one to help other teachers create these extended sessions that allow us to deepen our Iyengar Yoga practice, explore advanced techniques and build a network of support among students.

5. Open doors 🌒:

No matter how much time passes, fertile grounds always have open doors for the light of your talent to enter and shine again.

That is why I am delighted to return to Yoga Home London and announce my next workshop series, take note because you are cordially invited.

Is a series of 4 special Iyengar Yoga sessions that will take place every Saturday from June 15th through September 7th, in which for two hours, we will work on the following highlights:

  • Asana Practice: Delve into precise alignment and technique to build strength, flexibility, and awareness.

  • Pranayama: Explore the art of controlled breathing to improve your vital functions, focus and inner calm.

  • Community: Reconnect with other practitioners in the welcoming and supportive environment of YogaHome.

  • Guidance: Benefit from personalised instruction from an experienced Iyengar Yoga teacher, myself!

As with all fertile grounds, during these 4 Saturdays (15 June, 15 July, 15 August and 7 September) YogaHome London’s studio will be open for all those interested in strengthening their well-being to find the knowledge, community and connection we need.

You don’t need to be a very experienced Iyengar Yoga practitioner, as I said above, always a beginner’s mind.

Thank you for joining me in this reflection, tell me in the comments what other characteristics a fertile ground should have for you?

See you on the mat and in the next blog!
